Local container features

TenantTabs manages Firefox containers, groups, favourites, recents, website rules and settings in your browser. Manual and automatic backup files are saved to the locations you choose or configure. TenantTabs does not upload their contents. Browser storage and backups remain under your control. Exported backups may contain sensitive container names and website rules; share them carefully.

Optional Pro licensing

Free features work without a licensing account or licensing connections. To use paid activation, enable Allow licensing connections to ExtensionPay in License & billing and grant the optional Firefox data permissions when requested. Disabling this option suspends paid access and stops new TenantTabs licensing requests. An already-sent request may finish; an already-open provider page operates under that provider's policies.

With consent, the locally bundled ExtPay library contacts ExtensionPay to obtain prices, create an installation/account identifier, verify payment status, and open checkout, account sign-in or subscription management. Requests include the provider identifier; development installations are identified as such when the identifier is created. Provider responses can include email address, plan, payment/subscription status and account, installation or trial timestamps. Hosted account and checkout links include the identifier. Treat these links as private and do not include them in public bug reports.

You enter email and payment information on provider-hosted pages. Stripe processes payments. TenantTabs does not maintain a password or payment-card database. Servers receive normal connection information such as IP address and browser headers. TenantTabs does not send browsing history, open tab URLs, container or group names, website rules, settings or backup contents for licensing.

Storage and browser synchronisation

ExtPay stores its identifier, installation timestamp and cached account record in Firefox extension sync storage, falling back to local storage if unavailable. Depending on your Firefox configuration, Firefox Sync may synchronise that data, including email and payment metadata. Licensing consent is stored locally. Verified paid access is held in background memory, not included in backups.

Manual and automatic backups exclude licensing identifiers, account records, consent and entitlement state. Disabling consent does not itself erase records already held by providers or all previously stored browser data.

Local data remain until you change/remove them or browser storage is cleared; backup files remain until you delete them. Removing TenantTabs does not delete your native Firefox containers or backup files. Browser and Sync controls govern extension storage. Provider retention and account deletion are governed by their policies and applicable obligations; removing the extension does not cancel a subscription or request provider deletion.

Permissions and external services

TenantTabs uses Firefox permissions for local container/tab handling, website routing and backup downloads. Its provider callback script runs only on extensionpay.com and requests background payment verification. TenantTabs adds no analytics or telemetry. External checkout/account websites may use their own cookies and analytics; their policies apply when you visit them.

Privacy requests and support

Email tenanttabs@m.migotech.net for support, billing, licence or privacy enquiries, including requests about information held in support correspondence. Migotech uses the email address and information you provide to respond and resolve your enquiry. Send only what is needed; never send passwords, payment-card details or licensing identifiers.

Support correspondence is deleted 12 months after the last interaction unless longer retention is necessary for an unresolved dispute or legal obligation. This policy does not set the retention periods of ExtensionPay, Stripe, GitHub or your email provider.

This website and public issues

This documentation website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub processes connection information when serving it; see the GitHub privacy statement. These pages contain no added analytics, tracking scripts or contact forms. GitHub Issues are public records governed by GitHub's controls and policies. Do not post personal account details or private billing, licence or privacy enquiries there.
